Currently, the six car IRDC Team now seems to be a five car team with Lou Lusardi's Ford Falcon having gone missing but the remaining cars and crews now sit in 18th position out of the 25 teams still running. Gordon's Opel Kadett GTE, Graham's Lancia Fulvia HF 1600, Pearce's Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint, Tomas's Fulvia Hf 1600 and Sinclair's Ford Falcon Sprint.

Glen and David Gordon's Opel Kadett is best placed British and IRDC entry in 68th position overall and the rally is being led by the Swiss entered 1970 Lancia Fulvia 1.3S driven by Claudio Enz and co-driven by Christina Seeberger with a racy 1982 VW Scirocco in second place and a 1961 Jaguar 3.8 in third.

Retro-Speed's editor Peter Baker was forced to retire after a fuel feed blockage caused him to go OTL in his stately 1951 Daimler Conquest saloon, which was then returned to full health by his service crew who cleared the filter blockage, but sadly car 277 had exceeded 30-minute maximum lateness and was heading for an early ferry, the rally finishes in Monte Carlo on Thursday.
