Sensational Loeb wins in Spain!

Nine-time world champion Sebastien Loeb, driving a Citroën C3 in the last of his three WRC appearances this year, won the mixed surface rally by 2.9sec from fellow Frenchman Sébastien Ogier in the M-Sport Ford Fiesta during a nail-biting final speed test shootout.

Elfyn Evans snatched third from Thierry Neuville in the final few metres of the stage when the unlucky Belgian hit a stone and broke the rear right wheel of his Hyundai i20. He salvaged fourth however but surrendered the FIA World Rally Championship lead to Ogier by three points heading to the final round next month in Australia.

Ott Tänak won the final live TV Power Stage to claim five bonus points in a Toyota Yaris. Ogier took four points for second with Loeb scoring three in third. Evans and Dani Sordo, driving an i20, took two and one point respectively.
