Fantastic Prodrive visit

The 39th Annual general meeting was held at Prodrive's world class facility in Banbury. Turn out was good as expected for the Committee meeting which preceded the AGM and after a break for lunch we had a tour of the facility.

Walking around this impressive facility you can see the quality of detail that goes into building a Prodrive car, from the fine welding right through top the carbon fibre panels that go onto the Aston Martins.

In the Rally build area, we saw several Group N and World Cars in various stages of build including Marcus Gronholms Portugal car. We had a tour of the engine and transmission build area as well as the fabrication and machine shops.

It is Prodrive?s 25th Anniversary this year and with the IRDC celebrating its 40th year this year it was quite appropriate that we should hold the meeting at such a prestigious venue. Here's to another 25 and 40 years respectively.

On behalf of the Committee and members I would like to thank Jackie Irwin, Nick and all at Prodrive for their hospitality.
