2013 British Rally Championship

Although uncharacteristically late in the year, this weekend sees round 1 of the 2013 championship finally get underway - The Pirelli Richard Burns Foundation Rally, taking place in Cumbria on Saturday 4th May and Sunday 5th May.

This, the first round of the British Rally Championship and NGK Spark Plugs BRC Challenge, also includes a round of the British Historic Rally Championship that will see a range of iconic rally cars competing from the 1960's through to the modern era. The Historic section will be the first cars on the stages closely followed by the BRC Challenge and then the main stars of the British Rally Championship.

The event will be based at Carlisle Racecourse, also home to the Service Park and the Rally begins with a Ceremonial Start in Carlisle Town Centre between 10.30am and 1.00 pm., with the stage action following in Kielder Forest
