Silverstone Classic 22nd - 24th July
The Silverstone Classic is undoubtedly on the list of 'must be there' events for connoisseurs of classic cars and close racing, runing from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th July. The IRDC is pleased to report that once again the club is well represented among the list of prominent historic racing protagonists on the glittering entry card.
As well as being an honorary member of the IRDC, Silverstone Classic regular and acknowledged all rounder, Barrie Williams is down to drive in three of the races and fellow club member John Haugland is also on the racecard when the Norwegian veteran and multiple RAC Rally class winner fields a Lotus Cortina in the popular U2TC saloon car race.
Among the prominent list of entries that reads like a 'who's who' of the very cream of UK drivers, in the race to commemorate the 50th birthday of the iconic Jaguar E Type, the IRDC will be represented by TV presenter and PR guru Tony Jardine, a keen international rally driver and a recent welcome member of the IRDC.
With so many star drivers in action competing in 22 races featuring more than 800 of the world's finest competition that span more than six decades of motor sport history, it's no surprise that this year's Silverstone Classic is enjoying record tickets sales - don't miss it!
