Silverstone Classic Festival 26th-28th July

The annual Silverstone Classic is now firmly established as a 'must do' event for owners of the world's finest historic racing cars and indeed this year's festival is set to break the record of 1104 entries set in 2011, believed to have been the biggest race meeting ever staged in global motor racing history!

Staged at the birthplace of the modern FIA Formula One World Championship and home of the British Grand Prix, Silverstone, the event is already acclaimed as the World's Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival and this year's event, again supported by the AA, has changed-up yet another gear and will be the largest Silverstone Festival yet.

The 2013 event provides an amazing line up of 24 potentially fiercely fought races on Silverstone's full Grand Prix circuit, showcasing a complete spectrum of glorious motor sport history and featuring many of the world's finest and most authentic historic racing cars as well as an impressive number of legendary drivers including World Champions, F1 stars and Le Mans winners.

Add into the weekend's heady mix numerous off track activities including a fabulous array of live music concerts, spectacular air displays, rally rides, streetcar shootouts, motorcycle stunt shows and a host of other activities to keep all ages and interests amused and enthralled.

At the time of writing the IRDC is unable to confirm the scale of the rally activity at this year's Festival but some 4 years ago there was a rally stage set up on part of Silverstone's club circuit straight for historic rally cars to provide demonstrates runs. This proved popular with spectators and rally fans and it would be nice to see it return at future Festivals.
